Mechanism for Examining Trainee Work and Preventing Cheating:

The Smart Towers Institute has developed many electronic systems to examine the work of trainees, operating in an integrated manner to track students and provide reports on various aspects during the training course through assignments, tests, discussions, and discussion rooms.

Weekly discussion programs have been activated to ensure the student’s understanding of the training material and to verify if they themselves completed the assignment through oral discussions, for which part of the grade is allocated.

  • Repeated inspection of term papers not based on the student’s personal effort and taking necessary action.

The student’s access to the institute’s e-learning system is monitored, and attendance time for complete lectures is recorded.

  • Electronic exams are activated, and the student attends in the presence of the course trainer or a supervisor. The trainee is not allowed to enter the exam after 15 minutes of its start, and is also not allowed to leave the exam before the time is over.
  • A question bank is activated for all course topics, with exams created independently on the computer based on several criteria, including learning outcomes that must be covered by the exam items, considering difficulty levels, ensuring that the resulting exams are at the same level for all trainees.

We have updated the feature to prevent copy-pasting on the term paper portals using programs to protect and share the work.

Assignments are discussed by the course trainer or a committee, where the trainee is examined in all aspects, sources, and content to ensure that the student’s work is free of any fraud or cheating.

Movement tracking and facial markers can be used after the person is photographed multiple times to adjust student movements. This technology flags a trainee for cheating if they move their eye pupil upwards to think. It can also record all devices used by the trainee and all available internet data to verify if the trainee logged in from another location, thus detecting a student who seeks external help to complete activities or assignments for them.

According to the official regulations for training centers (rules and procedures) issued by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, a training license has been obtained to establish the institute. The minimum structure of a Training Center consists of a director, an administrator, and a contracted trainer for each developmental course. Administrative, financial, and support tasks are handled by the administrators, while the contracted trainers are responsible for training-related activities. With the transition to online training, additional responsibilities such as administrative tasks, virtual classrooms, control, and technical support have been assigned to administrators, while synchronous online training has been added for trainers.

Violations:

  • Impersonating someone else to take the exam on their behalf or arranging for another person to take the exam instead.
  • Engaging in any behavior that negatively impacts the exam process, whether it’s for cheating or other reasons.
  • Misconduct towards colleagues or exam supervisors.
  • Attempting to obtain exam questions before the exam starts in any manner.
  • Trying to view or answer the exam questions before the exam begins, or answering or attempting to answer questions after the exam time is over.
  • Committing any form of cheating during the exam, including unauthorized communication with others, accessing any information sources (paper or electronic, such as books or notes) during the exam.
  • Disclosing or attempting to disclose exam questions or answers to another trainee.
  • Helping or attempting to help another trainee cheat in the exam.
  • Attempting to use unauthorized materials, tools, or devices during the exam, or removing exam questions by any means.
  • Failing to adhere to the exam instructions or to the supervisor’s regulations regarding the organization of the exam, such as refusing to turn on the camera or not stopping inappropriate behavior after being warned by the supervisor.

Penalties:

  • If any rule violation occurs, one or more of the following penalties will be imposed: a warning, preventing entry into any upcoming course, considering the trainee as failed in some or all parts of the exam, canceling the previous exam results, preventing access to exams for one or more courses, with the maximum duration of suspension being one year.
  • The trainee commits to the mechanism and systems preventing cheating and identity impersonation.
  • Two-factor verification via the trainee’s mobile number and a password sent to their email.
  • Using AI algorithms to detect sounds and individuals in the background.
  • Monitoring via the camera.
  • Verifying the student’s identity by displaying their ID to the supervisor via camera during online exams.
